Building the Foundation for Academic Excellence and Faith
Academic Excellence is not the exception at Saint Ann…it’s the RULE. Our faculty and staff strive to prepare our students for lifelong achievement while building a foundation in faith and personal responsibility. The Alabama State Standards of Education, Diocesan Standards, and AdvancEd Catholic Identity Standards govern Saint Ann Catholic School and its academic standards. Saint Ann Catholic School Academic Programs begin at age three (3) and continue through the 8th grade. Each phase of their academic education is specifically designed to prepare students for the next level in their education as well emphasis on personal development for moral and social challenges in alliance with our Catholic tradition.
Pre-K Program is designed to prepare children ages 3 through 5 to enter Kindergarten. The program allows teachers to begin the process of introducing your child to a structured environment while learning entry-level fundamentals.
Kindergarten students are introduced early to core academic subjects. Our students are welcomed each day into a structured and nurturing environment that is designed to stimulate a child’s desire to learn.
Elementary students (Grades 1-5) continue to build upon the foundation of the core academic programs that will prepare them for middle school. Students are exposed to a diverse, well- rounded curriculum. Additional emphasis begins on personal development and is introduced through various classroom and extra curricular activities.
Middle School (Grades 6-8) curriculum is a strong academic preparation for high school. The curriculum is designed to promote the development of the whole person, academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually in alliance with the Catholic tradition. Students are encouraged to express their own ideas and develop their individual talents. Saint Ann Catholic School is an active member participant of the National Junior Honor Society and its guidelines.
