Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs)
Scholarships are available through Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs). Scholarships should be reviewed every year and require income support documents annually or biannually. SGO families may need to pay a discounted yearly tuition amount per student; fees are covered by the award. Saint Ann’s participates in two SGOs: C2 Opportunity and Scholarships for Kids. Students currently receiving aid from an SGO can renew their scholarship at Saint Ann’s upon acceptance, during the SGO application season (April – May each year). The CHOOSE ACT
The CHOOSE Act provides qualifying students with an opportunity to receive up to $7,000 a year for tuition, certain fees, and other eligible expenses at Saint Ann’s. Signed into law in 2024, the CHOOSE Act makes refundable income tax credits available in an educational savings account (ESA). Students cannot receive ESA funds and also have a scholarship from an SGO.
To be eligible you must be a resident of Alabama, your student must be in K5-12th grade, and your household income must not exceed 300% of the federal poverty level for the 2025 tax year (click image at right for federal guidelines). Families who have were approved last year are a top priority for approval this year.
Both renewals and new enrollments must apply before March 31, 2026. Students who have been approved for funds elsewhere may transfer those funds to Saint Ann’s. Learn more and apply here.
Annunciation Scholarships
Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church provides scholarships based on active parishioner status and financial need. All are welcome to apply, but funds are limited. Please apply for outside sources of aid first. “Active Parishioners” are those who are registered in and regularly attend the parish, those who financially support the parish, and those who give of their time and talent to the parish.
Those earning the scholarship will typically receive the basic scholarship of $1590 (less, if other discounts apply). Those with financial need may receive additional funds. Those receiving this scholarship with other aid, may receive more or less based on need.
Basic Scholarship – Active Parishioner
Annunciation Scholarships are offered on the basis of financial need in order to allow all members of the parish who wish to do so, the chance to enroll their children at Saint Ann Catholic School. If you wish to apply, please complete this form.
Saint Ann Financial Aid
If you seek an amount of aid greater than the basic, or if you wish to apply for this scholarship in addition to any outside aid, you must complete the form above AND then complete a Grant & Aid Application. Scholarships are awarded at the end of March and the end of May. After May they are offered on a rolling basis.
Additional Discounts
There are several types of discount available, pertaining to payment options.
Multiple Student Discounts
Families who have more than one student enrolled receive a 10% discount on their second child and a 20% discount on their third. Multi-child discounts apply for both parishioner and non-parishioner families. Discount applied time of payment.
Single Payment Discount
Families who pay their total tuition in one payment are eligible for a 5% discount. Discount applied at time of payment.
