Hello! My name is Mrs. Callahan. I am a retired public educator and have taught at Saint Ann since 2019. Having been born and raised Catholic, it is a great blessing to be teaching at a school where Christian values are upheld and where academic excellence is promoted. My favorite reminder that we are not alone is the story “Footprints”, where we are reminded that Jesus carried the cross and died for our sins, and that he continues to carry us during times of strife.

I am excited to be at St. Ann School! I have taught in Catholic schools for 10 years. My two daughters also attend St. Ann’s. I teach private piano and guitar lessons and have 20 years experience. In addition to teaching music in Decatur, I am also the Choir and Drama teacher at St. Bernard Prep in Cullman. I graduated from Carson Newman University in 2000 with my Bachelor of Music degree and have taken additional education classes through the years.

My husband and I are originally from Knoxville, TN but have moved around some and are now settled in Decatur.  We are parishioners at Annunciation of the Lord parish where I am the church accompanist.

I look forward to teaching your children and please contact me if you have any music questions!
